Actor Ssudeep Sahir is shown to be stuck with a wrong partner in his new show, Woh Apna Sa. Ssudeep’s character stays with his wife and children even though his marriage is in shambles. The actor gets philosophical as he talks about marriage. He explains that it might strike a chord among audiences, despite  being a sticky subject. He says, “Marriage is a beautiful journey but it’s success primarily depends on the kind of partner. If your partner is on the same page as you, then things fall into place. Otherwise, it isn’t so. The show is relatable because I am sure people are stuck in the same situation.”

The actor admits that what really got him to take up the role was the story. “The storyline gives you a different point of view, which hasn’t been showcased on Indian television. As the story progresses, you will understand the situations my character has to deal with his wife has shades of grey.” There is a twist in the tale as he encounters someone who shares similar values and maturity. But his isn’t your average run-of-the-mill story that deals with adultery, he warns. “It remains to be seen if he gets attracted to that someone. This is different from your cliche shows,” promises Ssudeep.

The actor admits that while there was no reference point for him to follow, he has given this role his best. He says, “My character is very different from other roles I have played in my career. My first priority was to be believable in this role. I am doing what each scene demands. There are so many different emotions that I have to portray. I want the viewers to think that I am actually Aditya (my character) and not Ssudeep.”
