Debina Bonnerjee ‘fined’ on the sets of Santoshi Maa

Debina Bonnerjee, whose role as Poulomi Maa is creating ripples in the show Santoshi Maa, was recently fined on the sets of the show. Apparently, as a rule, cell phones are not allowed to ring on the sets. And if anyone’s phone rings accidentally, the member, — be it from the crew or the cast — is made to treat the entire unit as fine for breaking the rule. The senior actress unintentionally happened to break the golden rule, and ended up being fined on the sets.

Talking about the incident, Debina said with a laugh, “My phone is always on silent, but that day, unfortunately, it rang and I was unaware about the no phone rule on the sets. The rule is to treat everyone with lassi but then I thought let’s do something different and hence I called for burgers and cold drinks for the crew. We had good fun and bonded with the team over burgers and cold drinks. So, the fine actually gave us a chance to enjoy impromptu party. No complaints there, really.”
