South Korean drama’s lead pair are fan favourites

First South Korean drama, Descendants of the Sun, is making waves in India because of the chemistry between its lead actors, Song Hye-Kyo and Song Joong Ki. So much so that fans have even given the couple moniker of KiKyo & Song Song. However, little do they know that their favourite leading lady, Song Hye-Kyo, is actually older than the show’s young hero, Song Joong Ki. The  actress even explained to the actor that she wished he could have worked opposite someone younger since it was his first show post his mandatory military service.

In fact, the actress even joked with her co-star, saying “I’m sorry that after fighting in the army for two years, you have to work with me when you could be working with someone younger!” Talking about her experience of working with Song Joong Ki, Song Hye-Kyo adds, “Everyone says Captain Shi Jin and Dr Moyon (names of the lead characters) share a good chemistry but that is all credits to the teamwork. The director did a good job of making us look good together. I tried watching the drama from the audience’s perspective and Captain Shi Jin is definitely attractive — some of his lines also made me feel fluttery.”
