I have to generate more money'

The year 2018 has started off on a great note for actress Hansika.

Having signed three films of various genres, Hansika says she is accustomed to celebrating Makar Sankranti in a traditional manner, flying kites on the terrace with friends in Mumbai. “Some of my earlier movies have also had a Sakranti release. This year it has been very special, as I have been getting appreciation for my performance as a con artist in Gulaba-gavali,” she says.

On her mentor, Prabhu Deva
Prabhu sir was my first film’s director, my last movie’s producer and my co-star in my recent offering. It was awesome working with him. As a filmmaker, he is a taskmaster and has a different approach to get the best from you. As an actor, he is a chilled out person and gives a lot of space and there’s lot of spontaneity on the sets. It was fun working with him. This character is something I have not attempted so far and I loved it.

Strong scripts in the kitty
Honestly, I have been enjoying this phase of my life. It’s been good so far!

Aranamani was one of a kind work. My upcoming films too have strong scripts and do justice to my character. I am looking forward to them.

For a good cause
Everyone knows that I have taken land outside Mumbai to construct a building for my adopted kids. I have to generate more money and it is a long process. But I have been taking care of my kids as always, looking after their food, education and health.

Fitness conscious
I do a lot of yoga, cut down on my diet to stay in shape. You can't call me a fitness freak, but yes, I am fitness conscious. I think looking fitter is more important, because as it is the cameras show you bigger than what you are actually. I am just trying to look my best on the screen.
