Himesh Reshammiya and wife Komal are officially divorced

Himesh Reshammiya ended his marriage of 22-years when he filed for divorce last year. “Sometimes in life, mutual respect becomes most important. With due respect to our relationship, Komal and I have amicably decided to legally part ways as husband and wife. Our families respect our decision. Komal is and will always remain a part of our family, just as I will always be a part of hers,” Himesh said.

Komal added, “Himesh and I completely respect each other and have mutually decided on this. Our families are important to us, and we will always be there for each other, in that sense. Our marriage had compatibility issues, but our mutual respect for each other remains.”

There were alleged reports about Himesh’s closeness to TV actress Sonia Kapoor causing the rift.

Putting these rumours to rest, Komal said, “Nobody should be dragged into this matter, as no one is responsible for this fallout. Sonia is just like a family member and our son, Swayam loves her.”
