Selena Gomez responds to body shamers

Selena Gomez was recently photographed in a string bikini while vacationing in Australia with her friends. However, the 25-year-old entertainer was bullied on social media for her curvier frame.

The Wolves singer has hit back at the body shamers by posting a care-free video of herself. According to reports on EOnline.com, in the clip, which was edited to look vintage, Gomez and her friends look carefree and jubilant as they enjoy the sights.

She captioned the video, “The beauty myth- an obsession with physical perfection that traps modern woman in an endless cycle of hopelessness, self consciousness, and self-hatred as she tries to fulfill society’s impossible definition of flawless beauty.”

Gomez concluded, “I chose to take care of myself because I want to, not to prove anything to anyone. Wind in her sails.”
