When the legal battle broke out earlier, Prince’s new album, the Deliverance, was pulled off iTunes and other music downloading apps as the singer’s estate filed a lawsuit and requested a restraining order against the producer of the extended play. The estate has now stopped the release of the album, which was planned to happen on Friday, Prince’s first death anniversary.

TMZ.com reports that according the documents procured by them, it states that producer George Ian Boxill, who put together Deliverance, has no rights to distribute the music to the public. The judge cited a confidentiality agreement allegedly signed by Boxill when he was recording with the singer back in 2006.

Unless the court extends it, the restraining order will expire on May 3, before which there will be a court hearing.

The album has already been pre-ordered by millions of Prince fans across the world and some people managed to download a song before it was taken off.
