Fadi Fawaz banned from George Michael’s funeral
According to George’s relatives, 43-year-old Fadi is ‘not welcome’ at the event.
Fadi Fawaz, boyfriend of the late George Michael, has been dealing with the tragic loss of the singer. Even as he is yet to come to terms with the death of his boyfriend of close to six years, the latest reports suggest that he has been banned from attending George’s funeral.
According to George’s relatives, 43-year-old Fadi is ‘not welcome’ at the event, reported Dailymail.co.uk. This news comes shortly after it was revealed that Fadi had waited for an hour to call an ambulance as he tried to resuscitate the singer on his own, when he found him lying unresponsive at their home on Christmas day.
George’s childhood friend Andros Georgiou revealed to The Sun that ‘the family hate’ Fadi and said ‘Heaven help him if he turns up’ at the funeral.
He also added that Fadi was not really George’s boyfriend and “he seems to be getting on with his life”. According to Andros, George will be buried in his favourite black suit from his Symphonica tour.
