The actor’s rebellious behaviour on the sets of the film almost got him fired.
Playing vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight series brought Robert Pattinson worldwide fame. However, People.com reported that the actor recently told The New York Times that his rebellious behaviour on the sets of the film almost got him fired. The 31-year-old Good Time actor’s agents had to smooth things over.
Revealing that working on the series was “an amazing luxury”, Pattinson said at the Cannes Film Festival, “I didn’t have to kiss anybody’s (butt) the entire time. I don’t think I did, anyway.”
“I think one of the best things, basically, about being a bit of a sellout, is if you’ve done five movies in a series, you’ve had to accept some responsibility for playing the same character,” he added.
The actor who went on to work on non-commercial films, said that the movie Cosmopolis was “the first time I worked on something that was quite complex”.
