Dabboo Ratnani’s calendar launch: A star-studded affair

Dabboo Ratnani is undoubtedly the magician who knows how to capture the best version of B-town celebrities. It has been two decades that Dabboo has been religiously launching his calenders, the first being released in 1999, and on Monday, the ace photographer launched the 20th edition of his calendar.

The 2019 calendar features 24 celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Siddharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Sunny Leone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Kiara Advani.

Gracing the occasion were a host of celebrities including Rekha, Vidya Balan, Twinkle Khanna, Karthik Aryan, Sunny Leone, Kriti Sanon, Tiger Shroff among many others who couldn’t help gushing about his work.

Speaking about Dabboo’s work, Vidya says, “I like all of them but I think Sharddha’s look is a bit different... so, I loved that. I enjoy working with him every year… We have been doing it for so many years now, it’s always nice to work with him and it is the easiest shoot of the year always. I tried something new and gave a severe look.”

“All his pictures are unique... it’s fun to see what he has done with the celebrities. He has captured some great shots,” quips Tiger.

Actress Kriti Sanon says, “Every time we try to be different from the previous shoot. For this shoot, he woke me up at 5 am and put me in chilled water but then he makes you look so good even at 5 in the morning… So, nothing like it.”

Twinkle took the Instagram to post about Dabboo and wrote, “Best of luck @dabbooratnani not that you need it as you are an old hand at this and @karankapadiaofficial would it kill you to just show a few teeth like the rest of us :).”
