The Bajirao Mastani star has started work on Zoya Akhtar’s next, where he plays a rapper.
Ranveer Singh has indeed moved on from Padmavati. On Monday night, Ranveer began working for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. He was rehearsing and partly recording for the Zoya Akhtar project, where he plays a rapper’s character.
Dressed quite like a rapper himself, the actor wore a tee with a cap turned backwards and sunglasses quite late in the night. “Ranveer is very gung-ho about Zoya’s film. He has managed to move from an angry character to a character who follows his dreams and becomes a star in his own right in Gully Boy. The character that Ranveer plays in is very much like himself — happy, cheerful and atrangi (quirky)!” informs the source.
Alia is paired opposite Ranveer in Gully Boy. The film will go on the floors once the recordings and the pre-production on the film is complete.
