Alia-Sidharth, Varun-Natasha come out at Karan’s bash

Much like his films, Karan Johar’s 45th birthday bash last week was a glitzy affair when more than half the Bollywood turned up at his beautifully-appointed home in Mumbai. But guess who stole the limelight from Karan himself. His Student Of The Year protégés Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, and his girlfriend (fiancée?) Natasha Dalal. While Alia and Sidharth bonded beautifully at the party, Varun was seen introducing Natasha to Karan’s mother, Hiroo Johar, and all the guests at the party. Says a source, who’s also one of Karan’s closest gal pals, “Alia calls herself Karan’s firstborn and the twins’ sibling. She and Sidharth are definitely very close. And when with Karan, they are not afraid to show it.”

As for Varun, who walked in with Natasha, the source says, “Introducing Natasha to all the guests and Karan’s mother is definitely a step-up for their relationship.” However, they were not the only cute couples at the party. The most beautiful couple of the evening was undoubtedly Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and Amrita-Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. In fact, they looked so good together and seemed so comfortable in each other’s company that everyone was left wondering why Karan hasn’t cast them together yet. Incidentally, according to those in the know, rumours linking Sara and Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan are completely baseless. Some time in the past, Sara’s mother Amrita Singh and Harshvardhan’s father Anil were rumoured to be dating. “But in the case of Sara and Harsh, it’s definitely not about loving in the family,” says a source.
