Shahid Kapoor shared screen space with Kangana Ranaut in Rangoon, and the two didn’t exactly get along.
Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut will see their films go head-to-head at the box office as their respective films Kabir Singh and Mental Hai Kya are clashing on June 21 this year. Kabir Singh directed by Sandeep Vanga is the remake of Vanga’s superhit Telugu film Arjun Reddy.
“Our trailer will come in the second week of May. We decided to drop a teaser because the makers were keen and I hear that Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya is coming on the same day. I saw a poster and it has the same release date. I wish them all the best. If a film is good, people will come and watch regardless of anything. Even if it is a solo release, there are films which have not done well,” says Shahid.
One can recall that the actor shared screen space with the ebullient actress in the film Rangoon a while back and the two didn’t exactly get along. While Kangana described her other co-star Saif Ali Khan as a classy man, but when it came to Shahid, she said, “People need to understand that we don’t go to work to make friends!”
Shahid on the other hand had mentioned that he was not keen on playing a table tennis match by responding to all comments made by Kangana.
Whatever the personal grouses maybe and whatever these actors say about each other, the real test will be at the box office when the films are out on June 21.
