Sonam Kapoor was at the airport the other day, and she couldn’t find her identity proof — her passport — which was tucked inside her bag.
The bag was full of multiple objects that a fashionista would normally carry. The actress seemed to have left home in a hurry and couldn’t find it. The security personnel at the airport was very keen that she show it to him first, before he let her pass. Sister Rhea Kapoor, who was also around, tried helping Sonam locate it.
For a minute or so, Sonam kept rummaging through her belongings and could not find it at all. Her celebrity status certainly was not coming in handy, and the airport security man patiently waited and told her to get it out.
Eventually, Sonam did find the passport and handed it over to him and heaved a sigh. The security man smiled at her and let her pass. And all this after she had posed for the cameras at the airport. Obviously the security man does not watch movies or see the footage of fashion events.
Thankfully, he did not see the picture of her at the Cannes red carpet. Otherwise, he too would have mistaken her for Deepika Padukone like the a leading American photo agency Getty Images did by captioning Sonam as the former.
