Ekta shuts down trolls and Sri’s demise rumours

Even as the Kapoor family is yet to come to terms with the tragic news of Sridevi’s death, they were in for a rude shock, thanks to some nasty reports about the sudden demise.

Trolls on Twitter had a field day, citing Sridevi’s alleged surgeries as the cause of her death. Coming to the bereaved family’s rescue, producer Ekta Kapoor took the trolls head on and slammed the rumours.

In a tweet, Ekta wrote, “Evil ones pls realise one percent (as fwded as my doc told me) of the population can have a cardiac arrest without any heart condition or any kind of surgery! It’s destiny not how evil rumour mongers portray! (sic)”

Ekta also went on to offer her condolences on the veteran actress’ death. “The strongest women have the weakest hearts sometimes…#RIPSrideviji (sic),” she had tweeted.
