Being a celebrity means being under scrutiny constantly. In the day and age of smartphones and inspection, there’s hardly a ‘personal’ life a celebrity can call their own. Maybe it was this hunt for personal space that prompted Alia Bhatt to turn her very public Instagram account to private. The actress, interestingly, had over 11 million followers before she took the decision.

So far, we’ve seen numerous posts put up by Alia turn into a talking topic in B-town, and her posts leading to unwanted speculation. Now, in order to gain access to what she shares, her fans will need to request to follow her, and wait for Alia to approve the request. The actress has not spoken on the matter or revealed the reason behind this sudden move so far.
