It will be an emotional moment to work with Alia: Mohit Suri

Aashiqui 3 has been in the news for a while for it’s on-screen pairing between Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. While we yet don’t have a confirmation if they are already on board for the film, the director of Aashiqui 2, Mohit Suri says it will be quite emotional to work with Alia, who also happens to be his cousin.

He says, “I think Alia is a brilliant actress. I am not saying this because she is related to me, but because she is the best actress we have today. If we have to come together, it should be a good film.”

The filmmaker goes on to admit that working with the actress will be heartwarming “It will be an emotional moment for all of us — I have known her since she was a child.”

The critics trashed Mohit’s last film Half Girlfriend, but he says he is honoured about the fact that at least his films are being reviewed these days. “To be honest, some of my films weren’t even reviewed, I am happy that people are critiquing my film now. Even if someone is writing a bad review for my film, it means I exist for them,” he says.
