Would welcome an opportunity to work with Aishwarya, says Rohan Sippy

According to rumours doing the rounds, director Rohan Sippy is all set to reunite with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after 15 years to make a spy-thriller. But the filmmaker says that he has no idea what people are talking about. “I don’t know where this news has come from. She is a fab actor and I would welcome an opportunity to work with her, but there’s nothing in the pipeline at the moment,” Rohan says.

He adds that he also hopes to work with Abhishek Bachchan, whose performance in Manmarziyaan is being much appreciated, soon.

“I have done a lot of work with him, and he is a dear friend. I am happy to see that the audience is liking his work in Manmarziyaan; it’s nice to see the positivity. He is a talented actor and I hope we get to work together soon,” he says.

Rohan has recently been in the news for his web-series Side Hero, which features Kunal Roy Kapur in the lead. It tells the story of an aspiring actor’s failed attempts to make it big in Bollywood.

Talking about the venture, the director says, “We thought it would be interesting to tell stories about the industry. The madness of an actor’s life and the struggles that he has to face make for a fun tale. We are finally making fun of ourselves!” he says.
