Kareena Kapoor Khan wows with fit and toned body!

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who bounced right back to her toned and fit self post her delivery, was the show-stealer at the trailer launch of Veere Di Wedding recently. Swara Bhaskar, Kareena’s co-star in the film, even called Kareena a ‘gym goddess’. Graciously accepting the compliments for her hard work, Kareena said, “Yes, the results are here for people to see.”

The Shashank Ghosh film that also stars Sonam Kapoor and Shikha Talsania is scheduled for release on June 1. The film is a romantic comedy and was co-produced by Sonam’s sister, Rhea, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi.

Kareena has gone through a lot of changes during the filming of Veere Di Wedding as she got pregnant during the shooting. She says, “I wasn’t pregnant when I signed this film. It is all thanks to Rhea, the producer, who stood by me. I had told her at the time that she could cast someone else. But, she insisted on going with me and even changed the script to accommodate a pregnant character.”

She adds, “I am very lucky to have a husband who is so understanding. It was he who pushed me to get back to the gym and to the studio. He said take your son with you and set an example to other mothers that it is possible to do it all. I think it has been good till now. This journey has been beautiful.”

Asked about the pressures on a woman post marriage, Kareena shoots back, “Would you have asked these questions to married actors, too? I am sure in today’s day and age, couples share everything, both responsibilities and pressures.”

Kareena says she will think of taking up more projects post the release of this film. “I haven’t thought about what I am going to do next. Taimur is 16 months old now and I am giving him most of my time. I promise to do one or two films a year.”

According to reports, Kareena has also been approached for the film Salute. But, the actress has neither denied nor confirmed these reports. “Whatever film I choose, I will let everyone know but at the right time,” she says.
