Taapsee Pannu, Big B’s Badla gets release date, but to face-off with this biggie?
While there was good news for the team with the announcement of the release, there could be bad news as well.
New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's upcoming flick, 'Badla' is all set to hit the theaters on March 8, 2019.
Taking to Twitter, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the release date, writing, "Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu... #Badla to release on 8 March 2019... Directed by Sujoy Ghosh... Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Azure Entertainment."
This will be the second time that Amitabh and Taapsee will be seen sharing screen space, after 'Pink'.
Helmed by noted director Sujoy Ghosh, the film will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Puri.
However, there could be a threat for the film as Marvel’s much-anticipated ‘Captain Marvel’ is also set to release on the same date.
The only hope for ‘Badla’ is that the makers choose another release date for India, as it’s only been announced for USA till now.
With the most recent Marvel film ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ setting cash registers ringing, earning more than Rs 200 crores, ‘Badla’ makers ‘badal’ might (change) their release date.
