Kartik in romantic film

Acclaimed Bollywood cinematographer Laxman Utekar has shot films like English Vinglish, Dear Zindagi and has helmed two Marathi films as a director. Kapaal and Lalbaugchi Rani were both acclaimed films and also did decently at the box office.

Now the cinematographer turned director has approached producer-director Dinesh Vijan with a romantic story to produce. Laxman has already worked as a DOP for the Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium that was backed by Vijan as a producer along with Bhushan Kumar.

“Dinesh and Laxman have approached Kartik Aaryan to play the lead in the film. The story was so interesting that Kartik immediately agreed to do the film. The makers are now looking out for the girl to play the lead. It will be a toss-up between a new girl or a star who has dates,” says a source.
