Actor Shraddha Kapoor’s in a tight spot after a criminal case has been filed against her and the makers of Haseena Parkar. Dressmakers A.J. Mistry and Thea Minhas say there has been a breach of contract as the actress failed to promote their fashion label.

A member of the team says both parties had mutually agreed that the brand’s logo would be prominently featured in the film and there would be ample credit in the opening titles.

“We have done both these things even though nothing was official. So how can they challenge us legally? Yes, there was talk of Shraddha doing a fashion show for them. But it was clearly stated that it would depend on the time factor. If Shraddha had the time, she would have done the show,” says the source adding, “What was obtained from these dressmakers was so inadequate that we had to spend Rs 20 lakh extra on Shraddha’s clothes.”
