Why did Akshay Kumar join Dabangg tour?

Fans and B’townies are busy expressing surprise and delight at Akshay Kumar’s unscheduled appearance at Salman Khan’s Dabangg concert in Hong Kong.

A lot is being written about the friendship between the two stars now being cemented with a film directed by Anurag Singh featuring Akshay that Salman will produce.

Akshay and Salman may be friends but it was not on the latter’s request that Akki joined the tour.

A source close to the Dabangg concerts spills the beans. “Akshay is very close to Kishore Samtani, one of the Hong Kong promoters of the Dabangg concert tour. It was on Samtani’s request that Akshay agreed to join the Hong Kong performance of Dabangg. He won’t be accompanying Salman for the rest of the tour.”
