Sanju inspires Ali Fazal
Right from his body posture, to the way he articulates. No one can portray a gangster better than him.
Ali Fazal, who is busy completing Mirzapur with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, admits that he took his inspiration from Sanjay Dutt for his role in the movie.
The movie, which is a gangster drama set in Mirzapur, will see Ali portraying grey shades in his character on screen. The movie will be based in Mirzapur, North India.

“Sanjay is my idol, and I would consider myself lucky if I can be half as good an actor he is, and get the space he’s created for himself in the industry. I’ve grown up watching his movies and imitating his style, even during my teen years. I’ve taken inspiration from him for my role as a gangster. Right from his body posture, to the way he articulates. No one can portray a gangster better than him. I hope I can achieve that skill right,” Ali said.
