Handpicked few for Priyanka Chopra’s post-engagement party

Priyanka Chopra’s very intimate get-together post-engagement on Saturday night was attended only by a handful of selected guests. The news is that the actor had personally phoned and invited just about 15-20 guests for dinner.

“She wanted the people who matter in her life to meet the love of her life. She personally took Nick Jonas around and introduced him to every guest at the get-together,” reveals one of the select invitees.

Making it to the handpicked guest list from Bollywood was filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actress Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti Chopra who were prominently present at the event.

Surprisingly absent at the party was everyone’s favourite party animal Karan Johar, who’s conspicuous absence became the talk of the evening, besides hinting at all not being well between Priyanka and the Shah Rukh Khan- Karan Johar camp.

To everyone’s surprise, Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma also showed up at the engagement bash even after Salman publicly disapproved of Priyanka post the Bharat fiasco. Also unexpectedly absent at the party were Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and the whole Bachchan parivar, who share a cordial relationship with the actress.

“It was a very small get-together meant to introduce Nick to Priyanka’s special guests. He came across as very courteous, well behaved and most importantly, attentive and devoted to Priyanka. She only had to signal for him to be by her side to meet one of her guests, and Nick was right there,” says an invitee.
