Karan Johar throws mum Hiroo Johar a birthday bash to remember

Karan Johar’s closeness and love for mom Hiroo Johar is well-known in Bollywood. And when it came to celebrating the Dharma matriarch’s 75th birthday, Karan was going to leave no stone unturned to make it a memorable one. 

The inside pictures of the party show that it was one of the biggest events of the year, what with the attendance at the do. 

The party began with Hiroo, Karan and his twins Yash and Roohi posing for a family photograph.

Soon, Bollywood A-listers such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukerji, Sidharth Malhotra, Manish Malhotra and Shweta Bachchan Nanda joined the party. Kajol, with whom Karan had had a falling out in 2016, turned up for the party with sister Tanishaa Mukerji too. Going by the warmth they shared and the pictures that have emerged from the party, it looks like all’s well between besties Karan and Kajol now. 

Since Hiroo is fond of flowers, Karan planned the entire décor of the venue with the choicest flowers on Sunday, and the invite to the do accompanied with her favourite white roses.

Sonu Nigam added to the charm of the evening, crooning songs like Kal Ho Na Ho, Lag Ja Gale and Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh. He also went on to sing some of the birthday girl’s favourite numbers, while she joined in on some songs too.
