She has lived her life on her own terms and continues us to do so. Former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen who is an inspiration for many women out there posted a throwback picture of her teenage years.

The image is from when was a few months away from winning the ‘Miss Universe’ titled. Sushmita won the coveted crown in the year 1994. She captioned the image as, “The #rebel yours truly almost 18 yrs old, a few months away from winning Miss Universe!! Nothing about me was ever conventional, not my looks, beliefs or actions!! I always knew, no matter what I did for a living, my uniqueness was non-negotiable!!! Needlessly to say, my journey has not been easy but boy, how immensely gratifying!!!
