Mumbai: The portrayal of Shah Rukh Khan's character in 'Raees' didn't go down well with Abdul Latif's family who believe that the film is based on the life of the '90s gangster-turned-politician.

However, there were no major objections for the film from the censor board's end.

‘Raees’ has been given a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The action packed film has faced six verbal cuts but there has been no censorship on some of the mind-boggling action scenes, which the Board felt was required to keep the film's authenticity intact, according to reports.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, 'Raees' also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan. The movie is set to release alongside Hrithik Roshan’s 'Kaabil' on January 25.
