The Pahlaj Nihalani-led board has asked to replace the word ‘sex toy’ with ‘adult site’ and remove 'Dalit.'

Mumbai: The film 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' was denied a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification for being 'lady-oriented', displaying their 'fantasies' and also for the lovemaking scenes and cuss words.

Another film has fallen in trouble with the board, the more popular film 'Noor' starring Sonakshi Sinha. Luckily the film will receive a certificate, but will have to do make do with cuts.

The CBFC has used its razor-sharp snipping tool to chop off two words from the film – ‘Dalit’ and ‘Sex toy’.

And if all this wasn’t enough, Pahlaj Nihalani-led CBFC has instructed the makers to replace the word ‘sex toy’ with ‘adult site’. And how are these two related?

A source close to the development told a popular daily, “The word ‘Dalit’ has therefore been muted from ‘Noor’ wherever it occurs.” Their explanation for this move is that references to the community will invoke reference to the caste system that is prevalent in India.

Another source added, “Weirdly, the Board wants ‘sex toy’ to be replaced by ‘adult site’.”

All in the name of culture!
