Alia Bhatt got critical acclaim; I got love from the audience, says Varun Dhawan

After the back-to-back success of his films Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan is one of the most successful stars today. The actor attributes this to his fans and children.

Success for the star came early. His life changed after the success of his film, Student of The Year, after which he became an overnight sensation.

Alia Bhatt and Varun along with Sidarth Malhotra made their debut with Student Of The Year in 2012. He said, “When Student Of The Year was released, we were not critically acclaimed. But Alia became critically acclaimed  later on for her work and I wasn’t critically acclaimed like her. Having said that, I received a lot of love from the audience and children.”

Varun, who has a fan following among kids, further says his upcoming film October is for the little ones. He says, “My film October is quite youth centric, but in a way it is for kids.”
