Nawazuddin Siddiqui dons new role

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has always experimented as much with his look as he does with his varied roles. Now, the actor is all set to appear in a crime thriller film Monsoon Shootout, which is directed by debutant Amit Kumar.

The actor, who was surrounded by controversies in the last couple of weeks, has shaved off his hair for the look. “Nawaz has a sinister look in the film. He plays a suspect who is mired in criminal charges. The actor was originally meant to sport another look for the film, but the team later realised that it was very similar to his Gangs of Wasseypur. This left the director Amit with little options and to add authenticity to Nawaz’s role, his head was shaved off with minimal hair, to add to the drama,” a source informs. A crime thriller film, Monsoon Shootout is produced by Guneet Monga and Anurag Kashyap. The film also stars Vijay Verma, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Neeraj Kabi in pivotal roles.
