Vidhu Vinod and Raju are like family, says Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt has been extremely close to Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for years now. While Sanjay’s career was sinking, it was these two who got him back into the limelight with films like Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

Sanjay’s life has had quite the roller coaster ride, so much so that Rajkumar and Vidhu Vinod decided to make a biopic on it. And the actor can’t stop gushing about his colleagues and close friends.

Though Sanju won’t directly be a part of the film, the actor regards the biopic as the biggest association with Rajkumar and Vidhu Vinod. The actor, recently saw the first edited cut of the film and has given a thumbs up.

The actor, who regards Rajkumar and Vidhu Vinod as family, is overwhelmed with the rushes of the film. He says, “Vinod and Raju are like family to me. They have been an important part of my life. While we have been worked together multiple times in the past, my involvement in our recent association has been very different.”

Delving into the role reversal of sorts, Sanjay says, “Usually they narrate the story to me. This time it was me who kept narrating my life stories to them.”
