Aditya Chopra’s Befikre has been courting trouble again. In a scene in the movie, Ranveer Singh’s character, Dharam, refers to Vaani Kapoor’s character, Shyra as a slut, raising quite a few eyebrows in the process.

Interestingly, the Central Board of Film Certification cracked down on Befikre over the usage of the word ‘bitch’ in the movie. After allowing Ranveer to utter the ‘B’ word once, the other two instances of the word have been changed to ‘witch’.

In the film Ranveer’s character points fingers at Vaani’s choices too. Originally, the dialogue was, “Kitne ladkon ke saath soyi hai (How many boys have you slept with?) voicing Dharam’s accusations that Shyra had been with many men in Paris. The CBFC — which is known to suggest ‘sanskaari’ changes—altered the dialogue to, “Kitne ladkon ke saath masti ki hai” (How many boys have you had fun with?)
