New Delhi: Kamal Haasan, who has sensationally been on the verge of making his grand political debut, has announced that he will be returning all the money raised from donations to float his maiden political party.

The superstar had claimed that his fan clubs had managed to raise a whopping 30 crore to assist people in need.

"The party has to be first named and formed. This doesn't mean I am backtracking, it doesn't mean I won't accept money," he posited, a NDTV report read.

The actor also clarified on his controversial ‘Hindu terror’ comment, iterating that a lot of his contention was lost in translation.

Haasan had insinuated that current right-wing politics resorted violence in place of debate when contradicted. He chose to take a step back and said he comes from a ‘Hindu family’ himself.

"Hindus are in a majority, (so) they have the responsibility of an elder brother. When Hindus say we are big, their hearts too ought to be big. They should embrace others and correct them if they do wrong," wrote Haasan.

Haasan's foray into politics has been scrutinisingly observed, with political outfits trying hard to cash in on his popularity.
