Are Sonakshi, Shraddha strong contenders opposite Shahid?

Shahid Kapoor, who seems to be upset with the promotions of Padmavati, has something interesting to look forward to. He has been signed up by Toilet Ek Prem Katha director, Shree Narayan, for a film titled Batti Gul Aur Meter Chalu. We now hear that actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha are the strong contenders to play the leading lady in the film.

“The makers are keen to cast an actress who can get the dialect of the area right. The film will be shot in Uttrakhand and the makers want an actress who can do justice to the character. They are keen on either getting Shraddha or Sonakshi on-board,” a source close to the film revealed.

 Shree Narayan also wanted to work with Sonakshi for Toilet Ek Prem Katha but things didn’t work out. Now it seems he would try his luck again to get Sonakshi for his this project. As far as Shraddha is concerned, her chemistry with Shahid Kapoor was appreciated in Haider.
