Prernaa Arora has let Kedarnath go ‘gladly’

While producer Prernaa Arora’s ongoing feud with John Abraham over ownership rights of the disputed film Parmanu shows no signs of ending, her other tussle over Kedarnath, the film that Abhishek Kapoor is directing, is at an end.

Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Films has bought the rights of the film from KriArj, Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series. KriArj is said to have been paid `17 crore for its investment in the film so far.

Refusing to divulge details of the financial transaction, Prernaa, however, admitted that Kedarnath is no longer disputed property. “Yes, you can say the fight is over, though the so-called fight was never from our side. We were only trying to do the right thing by Kedarnath. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out. Kedarnath has been taken over and we have gladly let it go.”

The producer would rather concentrate now on her forthcoming films. “We have a very interesting repertoire. The first one out is Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. We’re very proud of this film and we are sure it will make as big a mark as the director’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Our well-wishers tried to suggest that there was trouble in the production of this film as well. God bless their insecure souls and may they enjoy their hits. We at KriArj have our own hits to look forward to,” she says.
