Saying No-No to Nana Patekar

Around the time Ram Gopal Varma released his film The Attacks of 26/11, Nana Patekar had made a statement about Sanjay Dutt. The actor refused to work with Dutt after he was indicted in the Arms Act case, even though the rest of the film industry rallied around the Munnabhai star.

“I lost my brother in the Worli BEST bus blast. My wife Neelkanti, thankfully, survived as she had left early. I am not saying he did it. But if he had a small involvement, I will hold him responsible and won’t work with him,” said Nana.

And now after Akshay and Riteish Deshmukh’s statement, Nana is out of Housefull 4 as the actors do not want to associate themselves with an alleged offender. As a matter of fact, the film’s director Sajid Khan too has been ousted.

Nana is accused of behaving inappropriately with Tanushree Dutta 10 years ago. “I have just landed back in the country last night and reading all the news has been very disturbing. I have requested the producers of Housefull 4 to cancel the shoot until further investigation,” Akshay had tweeted.

Once the director is finalised, the film will go on floors. Sources say that the people connected with the film have been coaxing Sajid Nadiadwala to take charge of direction and complete the movie himself as he knows more about the film than anyone else. Another name being tossed up is that of Farah Khan.
