Rushiraj Pawar excited about role in Peshwa Bajirao

Actor Rushiraj Pawar, who has a volley of shows to his credit, has now entered the historical drama Peshwa Bajirao. The actor will be seen essaying Malhar Rao Holkar in the show.

Sources from the sets inform us that the makers wanted a known face who could play the pivotal role effectively, and Rushiraj fits the bill. He was incidentally also the first choice to play Malhar. Interestingly, after the first round of briefing, Rushiraj immediately gave his nod, and started with the shoots.

When we contacted Rushiraj, he said, “It’s an honour to be a part of the show. I am excited to have started shooting for it. The character has lot of shades, which will give me immense scope to experiment as an artist.” He added, “The exchange between Baji and Malhar will take the story to a different dimension. The instant they approached me, I knew the role was penned for me; I knew I had to do it. I am having the time of my life bringing this character to life. Even though the show revolves around Bajirao, the character of Malhar still has the potential to stand his ground and leave behind a strong mark .”
