After creating a nationwide alert with her social media posts on her alleged molestation on an Air Vistara flight, Dangal actress Zaira Wasim preferred to keep mum on the entire episode, even as she attended a golf event in Mumbai, along with Abhishek Bachchan.

Zaira was ostensibly in Mumbai only for the event. She was accompanied by her manager and security men, who kept the media at bay, and did not allow them to question her. Even Zaira was tight-lipped and did not speak about it. “Zaira came to the event much before Abhishek did, but stayed put in her car till the time it was good enough to go in. Her manager did not allow anyone to get close. Zaira had clearly been asked to keep quiet on the incident as there were all kinds of reactions to her allegation of molestation,” says a source.

But actresses in Bollywood put their foot down against what allegedly happened with Zaira. Here are a few voices:

Madhuri Dixit
It is very bad. It should not happen anywhere, not in India or anywhere else in the world.

Sridevi
It is a very unpleasant thing to know. It is very scary and it is very, very upsetting. I don't know what to say, I am in shock.

Jacqueline Fernandez
I think we have to continue working hard to control violence against women. There should be no tolerance towards violence. It is a joint effort and the society too has to works towards it.

Taapsee Pannu
I just hope that she gets justice. I am glad she has raised her voice against this and since she has she should get justice at the earliest.
