October trailer launch: Shoojit Sircar says you'll find real Varun Dhawan in movie

October', not a love story, but a story about love, is scheduled to release on April 13.

Mumbai: Varun Dhawan on Monday unveiled ‘October’ trailer along with his director Shoojit Sircar, co-actress Banita Sandhu, writer Juhi Chaturvedi and producer Ronnie Lahiri.

At the event, he revealed something that might just shock you yet make you believe in his straightforwardness.

"One thing about actors which people don't know is that the world sometimes starts feeling very fake because someone else brings you clothes, someone else does your hair, make up and then you're polished and pushed in the front like a product. But that is not Varun. I'm beneath all of this (the image)," the actor spoke.

“You will find the real Varun in ‘October’,” added Shoojit, to which Varun later mentioned, "Every morning on the sets, Shoojit sir would make sure my hair is undone."

Varun also revealed that he was the last one to be cast in the movie. "Shoojit, Juhi, put in everything in the film - their personal experiences, passion for cinema and dedication for everything. I was cast last in the film. First Banita was cast and then me. I think this is the right way to cast a film where the motivation is not to cast someone who is doing well (commercially),” exclaimed the ‘Judwaa 2’ actor.

"They cast me before 'Judwaa 2' and 'Badrinath' ('Badrinath ki Dulhania') released. We were in talks since then. When he narrated the film to me and told me why he wants to make the film, I was so moved. Honestly, I need this film in my career more than anyone else," Varun said.

Varun also mentioned that he was jealous when Ayushmann Khurrana bagged 'Vicky Donor' and since then, he wanted to work with Shoojit Sircar.
