A lot has been written about Mahesh Bhatt remaking his cult romantic film Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, which starred Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles. For the remake, Pooja Bhatt has suggested the name of her sister, Alia Bhatt, to play the role, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

In an interview with us, director Mahesh had denied that he is remaking the Dil Hai… as of now, but has plans to make a remake in the near future. However, looks like the filmmaker has planned another directorial before Dil Hai…

A source close to the director reveals, “Mahesh is now planning the second part of his 1991 hit directorial Sadak that originally starred his daughter Pooja and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles, but nothing has been finalised yet.” To add to that, Pooja also hinted the same recently on her social media account.

Sadak also starred Deepak Tijori and Neelima Azim in pivotal roles. The late Sadashiv Amrapurkar also played the role of a eunuch, who runs a brothel. Mahesh’s last outing was Kaartoos in 1999, as a director, and since then, he has been producing films along with his brother Mukesh Bhatt. It will be interesting to see how Sadak 2 shapes up, once confirmed.
