Arshad Warsi confirms Munnabhai next

It is now confirmed that the third part of the Munna Bhai series will go on the floors immediately after the release of the Dutt biopic. Arshad Warsi, who recently had a meeting with director Rajkumar Hirani, confirmed the same, stating, “The screenplay of the third part is done. Abhijat Joshi is now working on the dialogues. The third part is by far the best of the lot, but I am not going to reveal any details to you.”

Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai have been successful films from the Hirani-Vinod Chopra stable earlier and the third part has been delayed by over nine years now.

Arshad has been a part of two successful franchises — the Munna Bhai series and the Golmaal series. Currently, he is also awaiting the release of Golmaal Again, in which he co-stars with Ajay Devgn and Parineeti Chopra. “The Golmaal series is a unique one. It is like a mission. We all are busy shooting for some film or the other and then we get a call from Rohit telling us about the next project. And then there we are ready for the fun all over again. Then we do all sorts of mad things together and shoot at a frantic pace,” he laughs.
