Katrina Kaif’s sister act

She has always guarded her family from the media glare, but she is also keen to see her sister Isabelle get a good Bollywood launch.  While there have been reports that Katrina Kaif would be producing a film for her sister, she makes it loud and clear that nothing of that sort is on the cards.

“That would honestly be the worst move for her, because there is no credibility in that. I am an actor and not a producer. And it makes it seem like nobody would bet on her, and that’s not right. She has to stand on her own feet,” Katrina said.

“And even if I do get into production, I don’t have the experience or the expertise of stalwarts like Karan Johar or Ramesh Taurani. These are the connections that I have earned and they’re are the people I am in conversation with,” she added.

“I sent a lot of my sister’s audition tapes to Adi. I am also in contact with Shanoo Sharma. I am taking it step by step. I believe if you don’t assist someone in the right way, then you are setting them up to fail,” the 33-year-old said. Katrina also feels the ideal scenario for Isabelle would be to do crossover films.

Of course, the protective sister is guiding Isabelle, but there is a problem.

 “She is working it the right way. Unfortunately, she is facing the same issues I did in the beginning — language. Since she studied in New York, the language remains a significant battle. It is still one of the uphill struggles for me as well, and I guess it would be the same for Isabelle,” she signs off.
