Moushumi Chatterjee’s daughter Meghaa makes web debut

Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee made a name for herself with Hindi and Bengali cinema, and movies such as Roti, Kapda aur Makaan, and more recently as the perpetually annoyed Mashi in Piku. Her daughter, Meghaa, however, had remained sceptical about experimenting with films.

Instead, she’s making her debut in a web series titled Love, Life & Screw Ups!! which also features yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman in a pivotal role.

The director of the web series, Kapil Kaustubh Sharma admits that he had to convince Meghaa quite a bit before she decided to take the project up. “Meghaa is not really keen about facing the camera, unless there’s something really extraordinary coming her way. Initially, she was sceptical, but I convinced her to do this,” he recalls. “She’s done a Bengali film with her mother earlier, and did a fabulous job in it. She has a very unusual role in the series.”
