Kartik Aaryan and Disha Patani to star in Imtiaz Ali's next?

Bollywood filmmaker Imtiaz Ali had recently announced that he has developed a series of scripts and would like to make them under his production banner Window Seat Films LLP. It was speculated that the filmmaker is toying with the idea of making another romantic drama with Shahid Kapoor.

In December last year, Shahid had expressed excitement about his team up with his ‘Jab We Met’ director for a new film with an “interesting” subject. Soon after there were reports that the project was shelved and Shahid later told reporters that the film is “not happening this year” and they might “probably work on something else.”

When asked about reports regarding the film with Shahid, Imtiaz had denied development on any such project. However, it looks like Imtiaz has finally found his lead pair in Kartik Aaryan and Disha Patani for his forthcoming film. According to reports, the director will work with a fresh and unique pairing of young stars.

Kartik, who is riding high on the success of his blockbuster film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, is currently busy with Hindi remake of Kirik Party and Luka Chhupi. On the other hand, ‘Baaghi 2’ star Disha Patani is shooting for Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’.

If the rumour turns out to be true, the fans will get to see an exciting pair of Kartik and Disha on-screen.

Meanwhile, Imtiaz’s last directorial ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma in the lead failed to create any magic. His latest production venture ‘Laila Majnu’ also bombed at the box office. Will the upcoming film prove lucky for Imtiaz Ali? Only time will tell.
