Keeping just at one thing is so limiting, says Koustuv Ghosh

Koustuv Ghosh, a multifaceted talented artist who is not just a great singer but a dubbing artist, music director, instrumentalist, director, producer and an actor says that keeping just at one thing is so limiting.

Talking about his journey and ambition, Koustuv said, “Journey has been incredible. I started working at a tender age of 7 months. I did some print shoots, TVC and films, I mean my parents enrolled me and I did it without realising it (Laughs). I have given my voice to various Television Cartoon shows like Chhota  Bheem for 2 years, Teletubbies , Dragon Ball Z Gohan, and most of the cartoons' voices in the 2000s. Also done Advertisements with Sachin Tendulkar for Boost, with Virat Kohli for Pepsi and many more.

After taking proper training in singing, acting and instrumentation, Koustuv pursued multi-dimensional approach in his career. He quipped, “I initially started singing jingle for Pritam and Ads, print shoots for Boost and Complan and then did 'Helicopter Eela' movies to name a few. I didn’t want to just keep at one thing, it’s so limiting. Hence I always keep pushing myself.

Once you find what you want to do in your life, you keep at it. You will face some set-backs, failures and disappointments, but eventually your hard work and dedication will show in your work and it will pay off. I am always exploring what’s next and how can I make it better or different, and this continuous pursuit, i am sure, will manifest into progressive work”

Koustuv has also worked with bigwigs such as Ram Sampath, Vishal Shekhar, Salim–Sulaiman and more in music field. He has worked with noted filmmakers such as Pradip Sarkar and Dibakar Bannerjee.
