Vidya Balan had no Bollywood connections when she embarked on this journey of glamour. However, she turned out to be the crusader of women-centric films in the Hindi industry. Currently, the actress has it going slow, but still, she is happy.
Vidya Balans says, “I feel very humble and blessed to be living my dream every single day. Of course, there have been ups and downs, but I think the one thing that’s kept me going is I really love what I do. I am so grateful to the universe that I am getting to be who I want. People ask me what would you be if not an actor, and I say I wouldn’t be. So there you go!”
Parineeta which released on June 10, 2005, marked the debut of this talented actress. Vidya gets emotional as she reminisces completing 12 years in the film industry.
“Yes, you know, the more you say it, the more unbelievable it sounds. Sometimes, I can’t believe it’s been 12 years. Parineeta seems like yesterday. I had the opportunity to work on such fantastic films, tell beautiful stories, live exciting parts and work with people I admire. It’s the people that count. I have learnt so much from kind folks who have invested their faith in me. And I have received so much love that it’s simply beautiful,” she ends sentimentally.
Currently, she is busy shooting for the film Tumahari Sulu, a movie about a homemaker who becomes an RJ.
