Arjun wishes the world gets back up on its feet for this Diwali
This year, the Two States actor cannot spend Diwali with his family and friends. Instead, he’ll be in Dharamshala, shooting for his horror–comedy, Bhoot Police, with Jacqueline Fernandez, Saif Ali Khan and Yami Gautam.
Confirming that he would be working through the festival and would especially miss his entrepreneur sister Anshula this Diwali, Arjun says he still feels blessed. “I am lucky I am getting to work this year after everything we’ve seen. My close ones understand that the less we socialise and the more we maintain distance, the sooner it helps us prevail against the virus. All our festivities teach us that we don’t need to be with one another to celebrate. It’s the emotion, it’s the feeling,” he states.
In fact, to Arjun, starting a film now, when a few months ago it seemed impossible, is a Diwali gift. “God has been kind,” he says, adding that the film crew will have a basic Diwali get-together, with a day off so everybody can connect with their families and just be thankful and pray for an amazing New Year.
For Diwali, Arjun wishes the world gets back up on its feet.
“We’re slowly attempting it though there’s a long way to go. By next Diwali, I hope we are back on our feet. I wish we can entertain more people, both in the theatres and on OTT platforms,” he adds.
