Bindra biopic is challenging: Harshvardhan Kapoor

Harshvardhan Kapoor is excited to begin work on his next project the biopic of Olympic shooter Abhinav Bindra.

Harshvardhan Kapoor is excited to begin work on his next project — the biopic of Olympic shooter Abhinav Bindra. The screenplay will reportedly be an adaptation of Bindra’s autobiography A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold.

Says the actor, “Nobody has approached this story before. So it is important how it’s adapted, what we choose to keep and what we choose to leave out. It’s a challenging film in that’s sense.”

Directed by Kannan Iyer, it will go on floors in February 2019, and will have Harshvardhan sharing screen space with his father Anil Kapoor for the very first time.

He tells that films like Bhavesh Joshi and the Bindra biopic take time to make because they have no precedent.

“Such films are not made quickly. It takes time because there’s no information available. We have to do everything from scratch, without a reference point,” he says.
