Rohit Shetty feared hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi

Rohit Shetty is synonymous with the TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi. And it seems like his popularity on the show has worked. This season, the show is ranking on the top as far as the TRP is concerned.

Basking in success as the host on television, Rohit said he had feared hosting the show for the first time. “Before me, there was Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. They are huge stars,” he says, adding, “Being a director, I decided to change the format a bit. I like action, so I made sure that I brought it in this show. I would regularly follow the original version as well. The first season worked for me, and the show.”

However, he isn’t keen on hosting another reality show. He further reveals that he was offered to take up a dance and singing reality show, which he flatly refused. “I don’t think I can host any other show, which isn’t on the lines of Fear Factor. I refused a reality show because it would look for funny for a director like me to host something like that when he doesn’t know much about singing or dancing at all.”

On the film front, there were rumours that Rohit was joining hands with Yash Raj Films. However, he refutes those rumours. “I fail to understand where this news has come up from. I am not doing anything with YRF production house — I have my own production house. I will always prefer doing films under my production house. And I haven’t been offered anything else.”
